o buy a new collar every single year because most usual nylon collars available from pet stores would only last about that long. They'd wear out, get damaged, or somehow break within about a 1 year time-frame. Not these New Earth collars though, they lasted me 10 years and would likely keep on going longer had my old dog stuck around longer. These New Earth collars are slightly more expensive than other options, but they are worth it due to durability.
