7 Grooming Tools I Wish I Discovered Sooner

For new groomers and seasoned groomers alike, sometimes we get stuck in our ways and we don't even realize there's a simpler, more effective way to get the groom done.

Groomers know that time = money.

Don't waste your time!

Let's work SMARTER, not HARDER.

I have been working with dogs and cats since I graduated high school in 2006 as a bather at a local boarding facility and recently got let go from an animal hospital. I started to groom on my own in October of last year. In these few months, I learned a lot about grooming and bathing. I had always stuck to the same tools: a comb, a regular brush, my 2-speed Andis clipper and straight shears. LOL. Now I know about all of the following tools that have greatly helped me refine my grooming techniques.

Microfiber Grooming Towels

1. Microfiber Towels

Microfiber Towels are a great product. Not only do they cut your drying time in half but are also light and easy on washing machines!

Loyalty Pet Grooming Hammock2. Doggy Hammocks

Doggy Hammocks can help restrain and secure a difficult dog making it easy to trim nails, legs and in between paws.

 Paw Brothers MatMagic Detangling Spray

3. Dematting Sprays

Boy I wish I knew about Dematting Sprays sooner. Not only do they HELP get all those nasty matts and tangles out with ease, but they also have great fragrance and moisturizer to keep coats looking bright, soft and smelling great! The Stuff for Dogs4. The Stuff

The Stuff helps cut down your drying time after bathing, this product is magic, mixing it with the microfiber towels will form a great duo. Don't believe me try it out for yourself.

Paw Brothers Double Sided Slicker Brush 5. Double Sided Slicker Brush

Double Sided Slicker Brushes and all other varieties are great for many uses. Double sided slicker brushes should be a must have and here is why: the long pins make it easy to go deep in the coat and detangle any matts. The flexible middle helps the brush maneuver in hard to reach places making it easy on you and any dog big or small.

Conair Half Moon Grooming Comb 6. Half-moon Comb

Half-moon combs are great if you want to get a nice fluff and finish. The way the combs are shaped makes it easy and flexible to maneuver in ways a normal comb cannot.

Paw Brothes Deshedding Rakkes 7. Coat Rakkes

Coat Rakkes are the best if you want to cut down on your desheddings. The way the blades go in the under coat and help pull all that unwanted hair out is amazing. Definitely a must have to make grooming more satisfying and easier.
