Nature's Specialties - the Natural choice of professional groomers since 1986Groomer Sherri Klose and her dogAt Ryan?s Pet Supplies it is our mission to take care of people who take care of pets. These times are uncertain for everyone and groomers are no exception. That?s why we are choosing one groomer a month to feature on our blog. This month, we chose Sherri Klose.

Sherri sent our sister brand Nature?s Specialties the following message:

?Hi! I own a grooming salon in a small farming and mining town. The community has been hit hard by COVID and there has been many people laid off from their jobs. Many families are struggling. My girls and I are currently putting together days every other month to do free grooming to help out, we are also including elderly on fixed incomes. We were wondering if you might want to be a part of this. We hope you can. We hope to hear from you soon.?

Naturally, we thought this would be an amazing opportunity to collaborate with Nature?s Specialties to help ?take care of people who take care of pets.? Both Ryan?s Pet Supplies and Nature?s Specialties each will be sending Sherri $150 to put towards her cause. We thank her for helping those in need with dog grooming expenses and keeping those precious pups free from matting and more.

?My name is Sherri Klose, I'm 51 years old and have been a groomer for many years now. I lived and groomed in the Sun City/Surprise area for quite a few years and in 2011 decided to move back to what I always considered my hometown to be closer to family. It was really hard at first, none of the local groom shops were hiring. I did retail jobs and stuck it out until finally one of the shop owners called me willing to give me a shot. I worked with Brenda for almost 4 years. She had developed severe allergies and was ready to close her shop at that time, so I decided to strike out on my own. Pawsh Puppies Grooming was opened in May 2018. In 2019, my employees and myself decided to try to do something to give back to our community in some way. So, we presented our local K9 officers and their dogs with free lifetime grooming. The town I live in is a small farming and mining town. We wanted to help out in a bigger way, reach more people. COVID-19 has hit our community pretty hard. Many people have been laid off from the mine and there are many seniors on fixed incomes. So again, my amazing employees have jumped on board to do free grooming for those who can't afford it. We've decided on one day every other month to try to help out. We've already had an amazing response. Our first Pay it Forward event will be August 25th and we will carry on from there. No dog should have to suffer just because their family has hit a rough patch. I encourage all my fellow groomers and friends to look inside of yourself and ask "What can I do to help?" A little kindness goes a long way.?Pawsh Puppies Grooming
